We are very excited about the new development by the Poland Trust at Poland Meadow in Brockham. We expect the properties to be ready to advertise towards the end of July. If you are interested in this scheme, and have a local connection to Brockham or Betchworth, you need to have submitted an application for the Housing Register by 30th May 2022. This will give us time to ensure that all applications with a proven local connection that are submitted are processed before advertising commences later in the year.
To meet the local connection critiera for this development households must;

Immediately prior to such allocation have lived in the area on a permenant basis for the last 5 years; or

Their place of paid employment is in the area for more than 16 hours per week and has been for the last 5 years; or,

They were brought up in the area for at least 10 years but now live elsewhere; or
-
They have close family, defined as parents, siblings and/or adult children who have lived in the area as their main place of residence for the last consecutive 10 years and on welfare or health grounds the applicant needs the support of the close family or the close family needs the support of the applicant and if not provided hardship would be caused.

Evidence will be required from both the applicant and the close family in addition to supporting evidence from at least one supporting agency fo the welfare or health need of either party
Priority shall be first given to those from Betchworth and Brockham and only if there are no suitable applicants from that area will applicants from Buckland and Leigh be considered.
